Complete a health history questionnaire and receive a chiropractic exam to determine if upper cervical chiropractic can benefit you. You will be sent out for X-rays of the neck, and possibly other areas. The specific X-rays ordered are analyzed to determine the specific adjustment necessary for you. You will not be adjusted until imaging and analysis is complete.
You will receive a chiropractic exam and a review of findings will be discussed. You will be given a chiropractic adjustments and/or soft tissue work based on your exam and X-ray results. If adjustments are performed, a follow-up brief chiropractic exam will be performed to evaluate the effectiveness of the adjustment.
Your third, and subsequent visits, will consist of a brief chiropractic exam to determine if an adjustment is necessary. Because the adjustment is correcting a measurable misalignment, you may not need to be adjusted. Soft tissue work may be done after, or instead of an adjustment depending on your exam results.
Upper cervical chiropractic care is a method of correcting the spinal misalignment, and resulting neurological component of the upper two vertebra of the cervical spine. In chiropractic, the misalignment of the vertebra and resulting compromise of normal function within the nervous system is called a vertebral subluxation. There are some excellent videos on YouTube that do a great job of explaining upper cervical chiropractic.
Sciatica, headaches, tingling in arms and legs. Severe neck pain. Pain in my hip.
I've had great results with Dr. Luther. Nothing else gave me the pain relief and increased movement of my neck. His special adjustments are a wonderful alternative to drugs and to 'just dealing with the pain.' I have had two neck injuries in the seven years I've been a patient of Dr. Luther's. His knowledge of the spine and his expertise in doing the correct adjustment have helped me so much. The medical doctors always have a pill to treat the symptoms, but Dr. Luther treats the cause of your pain and discomfort. I cannot say enough about Dr. Luther. He truly has improved the quality of my everyday life. ~ Stephanie
